URGENT: The Seeds & Plant Varieties (Amendment) Bill 2025 violates our Constitution by failing to protect indigenous seeds (Art 11), farmers' property rights (Art 40), food security (Art 43), and environmental sustainability (Art 69).

This dual certification system threatens 90% of farmers who depend on informal seed systems and may further restrict access to traditional varieties that have sustained Kenya for generations.

We OBJECT to this bill and demand it be rejected or fundamentally amended to protect farmers' rights and indigenous seed systems.
